About Tasman Underwriting
Tasman Underwriting is a Lloyd’s backed Underwriting Agency established in 2001 specialising in Professional Indemnity Insurance for most professions/occupations. We joined the Austagencies Group in November 2009.
We offer limits up to $20,000,000 on Civil Liability wordings. Our policies are underwritten 100% by Lloyd’s of London which is an authorised Australian insurer. Lloyd’s Underwriters have strong financial security characteristics however please note that ratings can vary from time to time.
We know the pressures that brokers work under in the current market conditions and provide prompt decision making, quotation turnaround and claims handling.
Our underwriting team, with their in-depth knowledge developed over many years specialising in Professional Indemnity, are available to assist you in understanding your clients’ needs and exposures.

Roy has specialised in Professional Indemnity Insurance for over 39 years. This experience has spanned Broking and Underwriting roles in London and Sydney.
Roy is a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute UK and holds a Diploma of Financial Services (Tier 1).
Paula Vivares
Underwriter
Paula has specialised in underwriting Professional Indemnity Insurance for over 15 years. Her experience spans a wide variety of professions/occupations.
Paula holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Macquarie University and a Diploma of Financial Services (Tier 2).
